A product to stabilize the pH value of pool water
Appearance and composition: White crystalline powder. Contains sodium bicarbonate (CAS 144-55-8).
Action: Alkalinity plus is a powder product for increasing the alkalinity of pool water and stabilizing pH. Alkalinity is the ability of water to resist acidification. Also known as buffering capacity, it prevents sudden changes in pH values (within the correct range of 80-120 ppm) and optimizes the effect of other pool water treatment products. The alkalinity value should always be adjusted before you measure and adjust the pH and free chlorine values.
Instructions for use: Before using the product, measure the total alkalinity value. If it is lower than 80 ppm, add Alkalita Plus and if it is higher than 120 ppm, add pH-.
Dosage : To increase alkalinity by 10 ppm, add 18 g of Alkalita Plus for every 1 m3 (1,000 l) of water . Calculate the required amount according to the volume of your pool. Dissolve the measured amount of powder in several liters of water and pour the solution into the pool in the water inlet area (or into the dirt collector) while the filter system is operating. Do not increase alkalinity by more than 50 ppm in one step. If a greater alkalinity adjustment is necessary, only make another dosage after the water has been sufficiently mixed.
First aid instructions : Inhalation: Provide fresh air. Skin contact: Wash affected skin with soap and water. Eye contact: Rinse eyes with open eyelids and remove contact lenses under running water for at least 15 minutes. Ingestion : Rinse mouth and give plenty of water to drink. Seek medical attention.
Storage : Store the product in a dry place in tightly closed original containers at room temperature. Never store together with acids. Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf life : At least 2 years from the date of manufacture if storage conditions are observed.
Warning : The product is not classified as hazardous. Dust formation must be avoided. Never mix with other products!
Disposal : Dispose of unused product or empty packaging with residues at a place designated by the municipality for waste disposal in containers for municipal waste collection.
Production date : Indicated on the packaging.
